One Little Word Album Pages

My One Little Word is Positive! I'm trying to have a more optimistic outlook. It is pretty awesome to be able to write down what you want to achieve/change and have this as a guide throughout this year long journey. I purchsed the Pink Paislee canvas covered binder album which is just absolutely gorgeous. It comes with 20 page protectors, includeing six 4 divided pockets with fold, six 2" x 3" divided pockets, two 8.5" x 11" single pocket and six 5" x 7" single pockets. Can't wait for next month's prompt.

Two Page Layout

Two page layouts intimidate me! I don't ever do them. Back in September during May's Use Your Stash class I learned some new approaches to make them a bit easier. I had started to put one together, but got distracted and never finished. Well today I decided it was time to face the challenge and just do it! There were some fun photos from our Toronto vacation this summer that fit nicely into the page design. A few of my favorite pieces from my stash: travel stickers (Canadian flag and coins), coin shaped brad and font/banner from my free Blackletter Cricut cart.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

My Pink Stamper and her design team are having a fun Blog Hop challenge. You visit each blog to find a mystery word and they all string together to come up with the design challenge. I decided to go with a thank you card since I am a bit behind in my holiday thank you notes.

Dot Paper: Paper Trey Ink

Butterfly & Thanks: Gypsy Wanderings cart

Bling: Cell phone charms from the Target $1 spot

Bakers Twine: Saved it from our bakery boxes at Christmas :)

Get Well Card

Outside: Inside:

A friend of mine has been going through some rough health issues this week and since laughter is the best medicine I came up with this somewhat immature and silly card. I am hoping this will make him laugh.

Getting My Mojo Back

It has been far too long since I have done anything remotely creative and decided today to change that. I was catching up on my back log of Paperclipping Roundtable episodes and heard about Ali Edward's class One Little Word. It spoke to me. I already had a word in my head, something I had been ignoring, something that I need to focus on, something that can lead to great change in all aspects of my life-- my word for the year is POSITIVE! I am going to be a glass half full girl! I am committed to being very open-minded as I take this year long journey and looking forward to what may come out of it.

Where is my Cricut?

Can you find my Cricut in this mess? Moving has completely disrupted my routine and put my scrapping on a temporary hold. However, I am so very excited because I will be getting my own scrap room! I finally have a space where I can be as messy as I want and simply close the door to hide it. No more packing up mid-project and losing momentum. Right now everything is in boxes. I had the best of intentions of getting this room set up first, but then realized we need a functioning kitchen and unpacking the dishes took priority. Here is a picture of my room "before" and I'll post an "after" once it gets set up.
