Honeymoon Pages

My big project right now is working on a honeymoon album. It is a monumental effort! There were so many amazing pictures so it looks like I will end up with almost 30 pages! Considering we took ~300 photos, I'm pretty proud of how I pared it down. And I am trying to make more simple pages not only because I like the look better, but to help move the process along. Here are 2 of my favorite pages so far. I just realized that journaling is missing from both of these. Oops! There are great stories too. I've been trying to be better about including journaling.

Baby Cards

Here is a whole selection of baby cards I have created. Seems like lots more baby girls than boys this year!

Anniversary Cards

One thing I am trying to get better at is the art of producing multiple cards at once. I seem to spend lots of time creating a single card. This month I needed 2 anniversary cards so I attempted to tackle them both together. I had these little scraps of ribbon and my friend Nicole helped me figure out the perfect spot to use them.

The Wedding Trio

Wedding Card
Cricut Carts: Sweethearts, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots

Engagement Card
Cricut Carts: From My Kitchen

Bridal Shower Towel Cake
Cricut Carts: Life's a Beach, Paper Doll Dress Up

A close family member of mine recently got married and I had a blast designing different things for all of the major milestones on her journey. My absolute favorite creation was the Cheeseburger in Paradise themed towel cake for her bridal shower. I am really bummed I forgot to get a picture of the card that went with it. I've also included her engagement and wedding cards in this post.

My First Official Blog Post!

Hi! I have been trying to find a place to capture my scrapping life for a while now, but I just could not settle on a blog name that I was happy with. I think I went through 50 names and tonight I decided the only thing worse than having a silly blog name was not having a blog at all. That was the path I was headed down - until I came up with "A Place for My Scraps".

I am relatively new to the paper craft world, but growing everyday and loving every moment. I consider myself a scrapping enthusiast. My mom gifted me a Cricut in December 08 and from the first moment I used it, I was hooked. I love the creative doors it opens for me. I got my Gypsy in April 10 and again, find that it makes designing even more fun and I'm discovering new amazing things about it each time I turn it on. I love making cards and scrapbook pages. And ever since CKC, I've gotten into mini albums.

The 3 main reasons I scrap: 1. To document memories & traditions I don't want to forget 2. To release stress 3. I love pretty paper -- Ok..I'm addicted to paper.
