I don't think I've ever had this much fun making layouts! My Counterfeit Kit has truly inspired me and I've had one of the most productive scrapping months ever. Here is another layout created from my kit. I realized that my papers had a Thanksgiving/Halloween color scheme going on and I just so happened to have some turkey photos that needed a home. The green paper is the reverse side of the Cosmo Cricket Bloomers pattern. I also used 2 of my favorite Amuse stamps - Tom the Turkey and Pilgrim Boy. Pilgrim Boy I stamped with Versamark and clear embossed.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop
Happy Monday! I am so excited to start this week off by welcoming you to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop for March! This month's challenge was to use your kit to scraplift yourself.
As I was looking back through my layouts there is one design that I absolutely love and I believe it is going to become my new go-to layout. I'm a huge fan of clean and simple pages and this design is so easy to pull together. I went with my Mossy Knoll Add-On counterfeit kit because I'm working on my Aruba photos and this kit had a lot of the blues I needed.
Here my ingredients:
Paper: DCWV Summer Dream stack -I used the front and back sides.
Letters: American Crafts Thickers - Rockabye
Postcard: Taken off a set of Ann Taylor Loft pajamas
Random buttons, ribbon, bling and chipboard
Thanks for stopping by! Hop on over to Margie's next and see what she has created with her Counterfeit Kit!

Creative Retreat: Digging Out
I'm still catching up on all the great Creative Retreat class content. These are December blizzard photos of my hubby trying to get all of the snow off our deck. There was so much snow that the pile was all the way up to the top of the railing. We have a bet going for how long it will take to melt. It is official - I just looked and the last teeny tiny spot vanished today! His guess was 3/28 so looks like he won. I guessed 4/14 because I honestly didn't think our snow would ever disappear.

Counterfeit Kit Frame Challenge
The latest Counterfeit Kit challenge was to use our kits to make something with some sort of frame on it. I'm trying to scrap pictures from our November trip to Aruba (its taking a while!) and the orange paper in my kit reminded me of a sunset photo I had -- the rest was history. I tried to make it look like a framed painting because of how stunning the sunset was. Used my new Sew Easy tool for the first time- love it! Stitching is fun! I added in a chipboard frame and stamped with a seashell stamp using Versamark. Also added in a seashell sticker and covered it with a glossy bubble sticker that was hidden in my stash.

Creative Retreat Layout: Question
May Flaum's Creative Retreat was an amazing class! We got so many handouts and so much inspiration over the course of 4 weeks. Around week 4 life got crazy so I didn't get to dive into the content as much as I wanted, but had always planned on going back. This layout is inspired by two things, taking a popular qusetion that is often asked in your household and using ransom note style lettering. Luckily, if you saw my haul post from eariler, I just invested in a ton of new alphabets. This title is a combination of 4 different Making Memory letters. The paper is K&Company Summer Travel Pad.

Counterfeit Kit Layout #1
I finished my first layout using my counterfeit kit. I am obsessed with this pattern. And it is kind of cool because I am starting to see it everywhere I look. This picture is from a strip mall in FL - I looked up and there it was. It is also the pattern of a new comforter set I recently bought. I love that it keeps surprising me and turning up in unexpected places. If I could only find some scrapbook paper with it - that would be fabulous! These papers from my kit seemed to compliment it though.

Counterfeit Kit Add-On: Mossy Knoll
Studio Calico Mossy Knoll Kit
My Counterfit Kit
Ok, I am officially addicted to the Counterfit Kit! I think I am going to spend more time making kits than I am scrapping. Tonight I decided to check out the bonus add-on kits and thought I would try to make Sunny Clearing. Well, all of the sudden I was overwhemingly inspired by Mossy Knoll so I went in that direction. These are some of my favorite papers, including the October Afternoon Cherry Hill Recipe Box (numbers). I also own 1 package of Thickers and they happened to be blue. I realized I don't own much yellow paper so I switched it up to be red.

One Little Word February
The February One Little Word prompt was about seeing your word through photos. Mine are all figurative representations of my word: positive! These pictures represent very happy things that crossed my path during the month. Just a small sampling of goodness that reminds me to smile and see the positive all around me. Inside the back pocket of each photo is the story
of each one.

Thank You Cards
Here are a couple of simple Thank You cards I pulled together while watching the Bachelor finale last night. Glad it was a 2 hour show! My friend had given me an assortment of scrap supplies for my birthday and I wanted to incorporate them into her card. I also used a few pieces from my Counterfit Kit. The second one scanned crooked and I'll be honest, I'm feeling too lazy to scan it again!

March Counterfeit Kit Challenge
Studio Calico's Into the Woods Kit
My Counterfit Kit
I recently learned about the Counterfit Kit Challenge and was so excited because this is right up my ally. Back in August of last year I did a similar exercise when I pulled together a kit for the Big Idea Festival over at Big Picture. The kit they were offering was sold out, so I shopped my stash to come up with similar substitutions.
Now I learn out there is a monthly challenge that will allow me to do this! I love it! I love how pulling together these assorted supplies makes them feel new again and forces me to reach into supplies I barely use. Here is my first attempt at the Counterfit Kit Challenge. I wish I could tell you all the pieces I used, but I'm not that into keeping track of the different brand names and there are so many different pieces. Can't wait to actually create some things with these supplies.

My Pink Stamper Challenge
My Pink Stamper issued a challenge to create something using a "feathered friend"! I needed a birthday card for a co-worker and decided to use this as inspiration. The owl cut is from the Sugar and Spice cart and so super cute. The quotation bubble is from George. The ribbon is from Amuse.

A Banner Surprise
Birthday cake banner!
I love banners! Love them...you will see them as a common element in my layouts. I buy banner stickers, patterned paper, stamps etc. Well, imagine my elation when I was using my Cricut Sports Mania cart and I stumbled across a banner image! I had no idea it was there. And so the first thing I had to do was figure out a way to use it. It just so happens that I had made my husband a birthday cake and wasn't sure how to decorate it - a banner!! Can you tell how happy I am?
